Overview

We are seeking a Value Creation & Portfolio Mapping Expert to join the R&T SABIC Integration Management of Technology Strategy and Planning Department.

The R&T SABIC Integration Management is responsible for providing coordination and oversight of the ongoing collaborative research projects between Saudi Aramco and SABIC. The division represents the Transformation Office (TO) from Aramco side and works closely with SABIC counterparts on maximizing value creation from the technologies in the managed joint research and development portfolio.

The Value Creation & Portfolio Mapping Expert primary role is to lead the Value Creation (VC) maximization and portfolio mapping of the R&T Integrations initiatives. This includes planning, implementation, and claim tracking of various VC opportunities as well as optimization of the R&T SABIC Integration portfolio to maximize synergies and opportunities for joint technology deployment.
 

Key Responsibilities

You will be required to perform the following: 
Increase alignment between the research & Technology function and the Downstream and Chemicals business proponents at Aramco and SABIC.
Perform technical review of research proposals on behalf of the transformation office for inclusion in joint portfolio
Support the several executive research collaborations committee’s secretariat activities
Lead the development of the division processes and KPIs for enhancing projects performance management
Lead the coordination of the Petrochemical Technologies Deployment initiative with the Engineering and Business stakeholders
 

Minimum Requirements

As the successful candidate you will hold a Bachelors and Masters degrees in Engineering (Chemicals preferred) from a recognized and approved program. A doctoral degree in Engineering or science fields or MBA is preferred. 

You should have five years of professional experience in R&D and technical engineering work with preference towards field experience in petrochemicals, including at least two in business and project management.

You must have Effective professional verbal and written communication is also necessary 
You will be able to demonstrate thought leadership and strategic thinking
Previous experience in modeling and programming languages is a preferred
Effective professional verbal and written communication is also necessary
Previous experience in senior and executive management reporting is preferred
You will also have minimum understanding and experience in budgeting, planning, and performance reporting
You will have the ability to lead and execute projects and initiatives pertaining to the division mandate
